The Twin Cities MomsLikeMe site has been following the pregnancy of Lynsee for the past 9 months (OK, maybe just a bit less, but pretty much the whole pregnancy.) And, Lynsee agreed to let MLM into the delivery room with her -- with a camera! (As long as things are going well.)

Why?
I'm sorry but having given birth many times, I really cannot understand why someone would agree to this. And why people would want to watch? I'm sure there will be plenty of random trolls tuning in, but really how many mothers want to watch someone else give birth?

Lynsee is young, and sharing her life online is just a regular part of her routine. She announced her pregnancy on the site and to her, this seemed a natural followup. She's quite comfortable with the whole thing -- you can find out more in the TC MLM group.
As for what we'll see, I know Cindy, their site manager, and they will be very careful about what they show. I think it will be a wonderful, joyful thing to share! I can't imagine doing it myself, but then the Internet itself was just being born when I had my kids! lol
And Michelle, you're far from a party pooper! I'm sure there will be much discussion of why someone would do this! Like I said, I don't get it myself, but I can sorta see where she's coming from.

I believe it's a first for them both. If you'd like, you could post that question directly to Lynsee -- Lynsee's chat -- and either she or someone from the Twin Cities chat who's been following this all along would likely fill you in. I chatted with their site manager about all of this when I was there visiting recently, but I haven't followed the whole pregnancy -- just popped in once in awhile to see how it was going.

It is pretty amazing. Imagine how excited we'd all be if it was one of "our" moms doing this -- the Twin Cities site is on fire tonight. There are already more than 330 replies to Lynsee's "I'm in the hospital" post and it's only been a few hours!!
